Talking Pictures TV might be the best-kept secret on terrestrial television, and they even have their own streaming option. Here’s our rundown of the films arriving (and leaving) its Encore service this week.

For anyone looking for some vintage screening options this season, Talking Pictures TV (Virgin 445, Freesat 306, Freeview 82) has you covered. With classic TV episodes mixed in with golden-age cinema (Hartnell-era Doctor Who followed by The Cat Girl, anyone?), with a bit of a rummage there’s plenty of gems to sink your teeth into.

Talking Pictures TV’s streaming option, Encore, takes a lot of what streams on the channel and throws in some golden oldies for good measure, all for the low-low price of absolutely free! There’s a healthy archive of classics kept there over the long-term, but there’s new films arriving and old films taking their bows every week. Helpfully, we’ve gathered them all in one place for you to peruse at your pleasure, so curl up with a cup of something comforting and enjoy!
