Return to a galaxy far, far away this April as Andor 2 lands on Disney+. More on the show below.
Andor was without a doubt one of the best Star Wars shows we’ve had on Disney+. In fact, it might have been one of the best Disney+ shows in general. Disney and Lucasfilm always planned Andor to be formed of two seasons and since season 1 concluded in November 2022, fans have been eagerly waiting for news when season 2 might premiere.
A new trailer now confirms that Andor season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on 22nd April in the US while UK will get it on 23rd April, thanks to time differences. As we said, Andor is a very good show indeed and it seems that Disney also knows it.

“The first season was hailed by critics everywhere” the trailer reminds us before including several quotes from different outlets, praising the series. Hopefully Andor season 2 will be able to live up to the first season and Disney aren’t getting too cocky with it.
Diego Luna, Adria Arjona Ben Mendelsohn and Stellan Skarsgård are all back for another season. Created by Tony Gilroy, Andor is a prequel to Rogue One, getting its name from Cassian Andor (Luna) whose adventures we follow in the series. Series 2 will lead up to the events of Rogue One and serve as the final season of Andor.

Here’s an official description as reported by The Hollywood Reporter: “Season two will see the characters and their relationships intensify as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound.”
THR also mentions that the new season, which consists of 12 episodes, is divided into four chapters that each include three episodes. First of these will be available on Disney+ from 23rd April with the following chapters premiering each week, concluding on 14th May in the UK.
