Another Round UK disc release details announced

The Oscar-winning Another Round heads to disc in the UK this coming September, with DVD and Blu-ray editions planned. Thomas Vinterberg’s latest film, the superb Another Round, seems a shoo-in for lots of top ten lists come the end of the year. Those will sit nicely with its Oscar for Best Film Not In The English Language. Mads Mikkelsen, if you’ve not caught the film, is quite wonderful here in the lead role as a teacher who begins an experiment with alcohol that, well, I don’t really want to spoil it here. It’s a hugely accessible, very entertaining and very thoughtful movie, and comfortably one of the best I’ve seen over the past 12 months. Studiocanal held out for a cinema release for the movie too in the UK, and it landed over the summer. Now though it’s also confirmed that the film will be arriving on DVD and Blu-ray. It’s releasing the disc on September 27^th, and it’ll come with an interview with Vinterberg and Mikkelsen conducted at the Cannes Film Festival back in 2020. The digital release for the film will be a few days earlier, on Friday September 24^th.
