Batgirl, Warner Bros’ cancelled $90 million dollar project, has had footage removed from servers, according to the directors.

To be a fly on the wall in the Warner Brothers offices at the moment. What with the issues surrounding The Flash, the ongoing fury of animation creators as their shows are removed from HBO Max and the cancellation of Batgirl, it’s charitable to say that things are going less than swimmingly.

Now, directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have offered an update, saying that the studio promptly blocked their access to the footage.  In an interview, Fallah said, “I went on the server… Everything was gone.” El Arbi added: “We were like, ‘F*cking sh*t!’ All the scenes with Batman in them!”

It seems that the footage is still on the server, however, as The Hollywood Reporter revealed that they are holding screenings of Batgirl for the cast and crew this week.

More on this as we hear it.
