Ah, the wonderful Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond, part of the team behind Ghosts, Yonderland and the original Horrible Histories TV series. And in the film world, the wonderful family comedy Bill as well.
Well, the pair are back in the world of features, having penned a new feature-length production for the channel Dave here in the UK. It’s called We Are Not Alone, and is a comedy set six weeks after aliens have taken over the world.
It’s a two hour special this one is being described as, with Rickard and Willbond saying “we are so excited to be bringing this project to you puny Earthlings. We’ve never attempted anything so ambitious or ridiculous, so we’re thrilled to be joined on the adventure by such an incredible cast and phenomenal crew”.
It’s certainly one of the more ambitious productions Dave has tackled too, as it itself acknowledges. Filming is set to begin early next year, and the full cast will be announced then as well. Fergal Costello is set to direct the film, and we look forward to hearing more about it in due course.
