The actor, director and producer Bradley Cooper is setting up a new production banner to tackle the ambitious science-fiction project Hyperion
Whilst Bradley Cooper is currently working on the production Maestro with Netflix, as part of his first-look deal with the streaming platform it seems his long-mooted adaptation of Hyperion may finally coming to fruition. Cooper has been rumoured to have been involved with an adaptation of Dan Simmonsā Hugo Award-winning novel since 2015. Now it seems the project is finally rumbling into gear with the news that Cooper is setting up a new production banner with his long-time assistant, Weston Middleton, to tackle the Hyperion adaptation.
The story for the film? It āis set on the eve of Armageddon with the entire galaxy at war. Seven pilgrims set forth on a voyage to seek the answers to the unsolved riddles of their lives. Each has a terrible secret, and one may hold the fate of humanity in his hands.ā
It doesnāt currently seem like Cooper will be returning to helm this one, following his acclaimed debut in the directorās chair for 2018ās A Star is Born, as a search is said to be underway for a director. Tom Spezialy, one of the team who penned HBOās critically-beloved Watchmen series, will write the script. Weāll let you know more about this one as we hear it.
