From the creator of Killing Eve comes a new Carey Mulligan-headlined thriller.
The brilliant Carey Mulligan has picked her next project, and she’s to headline a new thrilled by the name of Promising Young Woman.
The film – which is being backed by FilmNation Entertainment – is set to be directed by Emerald Fennell, best known to date as the showrunner of the huge TV hit, Killing Eve.
Screen now reports too that Focus Features will be partnering on the movie.

In the film, Mulligan is to take on the role of Cassie, a young woman who finds herself haunted by something in her past. And she decides to do something about it, opting to take revenge on the men who get on the wrong side of her.
Filming is set to begin on the project this spring, and that points towards a release in 2020.
