Matt Damon has seen Christopher Nolan’s new film, Oppenheimer. He likes it a lot. He suggests it is not on the short side.

Comfortably one of the most anticipated films of the year is Christopher Nolan’s latest, Oppenheimer. Telling the story of the man who effectively invented the atomic bomb – played by Cillian Murphy in the film – the movie has attracted a terrific ensemble cast, and is the first that Nolan has made for his new home at Universal.

As always with a Nolan film, things are pretty much under wraps, but Matt Damon – chatting at the premiere of Air this week – has seen the movie and revealed a few things. The latest Hollywood cushion-testing running time for a start. “It’s three hours long, it’s fantastic”, Damon revealed on the red carpet to reporters. He saved praise too for Cillian Murphy’s lead performance in the movie, saying that he’s “phenomenal” in the film and “everything you want him to be”.

Damon then added the film was “almost three hours” and that “it goes so fast”.

Oppenheimer opens in cinemas on July 21st. More, of course, as we hear it…
