Richard Linklater’s Dazed & Confused is 30 years old this year, and it’s coming back to UK cinemas this autumn for its birthday.
Here’s one to make a certain segment of our readership feel particularly, er, unyouthful. Richard Linklater’s much-loved coming of age comedy Dazed & Confused celebrates its 30th birthday this very year.
Hell of a cast this one, with the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, Milla Jovovich, Joey Lauren Adams, Parker Posey and Cole Hauser towards the front of their careers. And whilst it never burned the box office up, it’s built quite a fanbase over the last three decades.
If you’ve never had the chance to see it on the big screen before – and most people haven’t – then send a card and a box of chocs in the direction of Park Circus. It’s going to be giving the film a limited reissue on UK screens on Friday 15th September 2023. It’s not going particularly wide, so it may take some seeking out. But that’s always been the film’s way.
Look for ticket preorders to start spring up in the next month or two.
