Murder mystery drama Death And Other Details is heading to Disney+ – and the show even has a new trailer! Have a gander within.

Michael Weiss has been a producer and screenwriter on many successful shows, including Chicago P.D, The Mentalist and the terrific Cobie Smulders private eye comedy drama Stumptown, which sadly only ran for a single series but is well worth watching. It’s currently streaming on Disney+.

Weiss is now co-showrunner of Death And Other Details, a murder mystery drama series heading to Hulu in the US and Disney+ in other territories, including the UK. It looks like a cross between Death On The Nile and The White Lotus, which is a pretty good hybrid if you ask us.

The synopsis reads as follows:

Set amidst the glamor of the global elite, Hulu’s new series Death and Other Details centers on the brilliant and restless Imogene Scott (Violett Beane), who finds herself in the wrong place/wrong time (okay, it was kinda her fault) and becomes the prime suspect in a locked room murder mystery. The setting? A lavishly restored Mediterranean ocean liner. Suspects? Every pampered guest and every exhausted crew member. The problem? To prove her own innocence, she must partner with a man she despises—Rufus Cotesworth (Mandy Patinkin), the world’s greatest detective.

The ensemble cast also includes Lauren Patten, Rahul Kohli, Angela Zhou, Hugo Diego Garcia, Pardis Saremi and Linda Emond.

Weiss created the show with Heidi Cole McAdams, the pair also serve as showrunners. Scripts were penned by Louisa Levy, Nick Bragg, Eduardo Javier Canto, Paul Alan Cope, Jess Kimball Leslie, Ryan Maldonado, Myung Joh Wesner, and Angela Zhou.

The pilot was directed by 500 Days Of Summer and The Amazing Spider-Man filmmaker Marc Webb, with other episodes directed by Yangzom Brauen, David Petrarca and Dinh Thai.

Death And Other Details will stream on Disney+ from the 16th January.
