Britain’s youngest feature film director has his new film heading into cinemas in March. Details here…
Credit to Showcase Cinemas, who from March 1st 2019 will be making room on its screens around the UK for a new British comedy by the name of Destination Dewsbury. The film, reviewed in the first issue of our very magazine, is co-written and directed by Jack Spring. Remarkably, Spring is just 21, and apparently the UK’s youngest feature film director.
His film was made for £150,00, and he’s got a future project now in the works at a major film studio. For now, though, here’s the trailer and synopsis for Destination Dewsbury. Trailer first…
Have a mooch at the poster too…
And the straightforward synopsis reads…
Back in the 80s, five inseparable friends cause ruckus in their schooldays. Twenty years on and they’ve got jobs they don’t want, and wives who don’t want them. The leader of the gang, Frankie, is now dying in Yorkshire. The others find out and get together for one last sad, mad, bad road trip to Dewsbury, before it’s all too late. Rude but loveable British comedy at its finest.
Expect the movie from March 1st.
