Parks And Recreation star Adam Scott will make his directorial debut with revenge thriller Double Booked. Here’s what we know so far…

Previously best known for his acting work, Adam Scott has long been a regular fixture on the small screen, perhaps most notably playing Ben Wyatt in Parks And Recreation. He also won a Golden Globe for his performance in Severance, which is currently on its second series at Apple TV+.

Scott is now making his feature directorial debut with revenge thriller Double Booked, in which he will also star. The synopsis reads as follows:

Double Booked follows a successful self-help writer (Scott) and his heavily pregnant wife (Zazie Beetz) who organize a weekend away at a secluded lodge, only to encounter another couple (Sterling K Brown and Alexandra Daddario) at their cabin when they arrive. With a blizzard moving in they are forced to spend the night together, and what seems like an innocent system error turns into a chilling battle of deceit with deadly consequences.

Scott will direct from a screenplay by David Levinson. Scott will also produce through his production company Great Scott Productions.

Scott said in a statement to Deadline, “I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Protagonist and Dichotomy to bring this audacious, crowd-pleasing, white knuckle thriller to the screen. I’d been looking for something to direct for years, and Double Booked checked all the boxes. Along with our unbelievable cast, I can’t wait to make it and share it with the world”.

If there were any justice, Party Down would be sitting comfortably next to the likes of Parks And Recreation and Community as one of the best recent American sitcoms of recent years.

Created by Veronica Mars alumnus Rob Thomas and John Enbom, the show followed a group of aspiring actors who, whilst trying to break into Hollywood, are forced to work as catering staff to pay the bills. It’s brilliantly written and led by a terrific ensemble, including Ken Marino, a pre-Glee Jane Lynch, Adam Scott, Ryan Hansen, Martin Starr and Lizzy Caplan. The show became a cult classic and was popular enough on home media that a revival series aired last year.

We’ll keep you updated on Double Booked as we hear more.
