Screan Queens star Emma Roberts makes her Marvel debut, as she joins an already impressive cast in Spider-Man spin off Madame Web. Emma Roberts is the latest actor to join the ranks of Madame Web, the Spider-Man spin off that is set to show a different kind of superhero, especially as, in the comics and the cartoon, Madame Web didn’t actually fight villains herself. The film is to depict the origins of the character, with her clairvoyant abilities inviting comparisons with Marvel’s own Doctor Strange. Already announced were Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced and Tahar Rahim. S.J Clarkson directs from a script by Morbius writers Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. Roberts can next be seen in Michael Jacobs’ romcom Maybe I Do, alongside Diane Keaton, Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon. Madame Web is set to be released on 13th January 2023.
