Jenna Ortega and Tommy Lee Jones star in fishing drama Finestkind, and here’s the trailer.

While Jenna Ortega is quickly becoming a modern day Scream Queen thanks to her roles in Wednesday, the Scream franchise (including this year’s Scream VI), X and the upcoming Beetlejuice 2, she has an equally impressive array of dramatic roles, perhaps most notably in The Fallout. Furthermore, it looks like she’s about to add another as well.
That’s because she stars opposite Tommy Lee Jones in the brand new fishing drama Finestkind.
Details of the movie have been released, along with a trailer. We’ll kick things off with the synopsis, which reads as follows…
Finestkind tells the story of two brothers (Ben Foster and Toby Wallace), raised in different worlds, who are reunited as adults over a fateful summer. Set against the backdrop of commercial fishing, the story takes on primal stakes when desperate circumstances force the brothers to strike a deal with a violent Boston crime gang. Along the way, a young woman (Jenna Ortega) finds herself caught perilously in the middle. Sacrifices must be made and bonds between brothers, friends, lovers, and a father (Tommy Lee Jones) and his son are put to the ultimate test.

Also in the cast are Ismael Cruz Cordova, Aaron Stanford, Scotty Tovar, Tim Daly, Lolita Davidovich, and Clayne Crawford.

L.A Confidential writer Brian Helgeland writes and directs the feature, which is heading to streaming services for the end of the year. In fact,
Finestkind will stream on Paramount+ from the 15th December.
