A new Roger Moore documentary goes behind the scenes on one of Britain’s best-loved Bonds. What Moore could you ask for…
Bond is heading back to the big screen! One very specific Bond, that is…
A new BBC-commissioned documentary, From Roger Moore With Love, is stopping off at the big screen on 13th December ahead of a terrestrial TV/iPlayer release.
Produced by whynow studios (in the interests of transparency: we share an office and they are our friends), the new doc offers a look at the life and legacy of a man who would redefine the super-spy role for a generation – and get up to all sorts of other stuff besides.
We’re biased, obviously. But it really is a rare treat to see a new documentary make it onto cinema screens. Bond was never going to be happy with a stint on the small screen anyway…

Directed by Jack Cocker, the film blends Moore’s own diaries, memoirs, and rare archival footage, “taking viewers on a journey through his world, featuring candid interviews with those who knew him best—family, friends, iconic co-stars, and even fellow Bonds. From his humble beginnings as a working-class boy in South London to his transformation into a global icon and national treasure, this is the definitive portrait of a man who embodied a role so completely that he became indistinguishable from it,” according to a press release.
Made with full collaboration from Moore’s family and estate, it offers never-before-seen access to letters, photographs and what’s been described as “star-studded home video footage”. Consider us intrigued (not least because even though we share an office, they’ve not let us see a frame of it. Pah)…
