In need of a laugh? Gobby Flicks Comedy is bringing a night of comedy and film to Birmingham and the proceeds go towards funding more films.

Gobby Flicks Comedy will combine stand-up comedy and short films for an event that’ll definitely tickle your funny bone. Stand-up comedy acts, both new and more established, will take the stage and the evening will conclude with a screening of a comedy short film.
What’s even better is that the proceeds from the evening will go to Gobby Girl Film Fund, which is all about supporting female writers and directors making their own short films.
Gobby Flicks Comedy is a monthly event, taking place every last Thursday of the month. April’s event will take place at the MAC but Mockingbird Cinema is another popular venue. You can find out more about their events here.
The films screened during the evening will either be made by or star the comedy acts featured or they’re submitted by local, Midlands-based talent.
