After several delays, The Raid director Gareth Evans’ action thriller Havoc, starring Tom Hardy, is finally set to hit Netflix in April.

We’ve been waiting for Gareth Evans’ Havoc for a long time. Originally announced and filmed in 2021 only to face several delays, Havoc is finally heading to our screens in just a couple of months.

Netflix has officially set Havoc to be released on the streaming service on 25th April. The film at one point was supposed to be released in 2024 after undergoing some reshoots, but ended up being pushed back once more. Hopefully, the wait is finally over.

Netflix has released a short, action-packed teaser trailer to go with the date announcement. Take a look below.

The film’s cast includes Tom Hardy as a world-weary detective, supported by Jessie Mei Li, Luis Guzmán, Timothy Olyphant and Forest Whitaker. Evans, who previously directed The Raid (2011) and its 2014 sequel as well as the Netflix original horror film Apostle, wrote the script as well. If we’re going by Evans’ previous filmography, we’re in for quite a wild, violent ride.

Here’s the full synopsis:

Walker (Tom Hardy) is a bruised detective fighting his way through the criminal underworld threatening to engulf his entire city. In the aftermath of a drug deal gone wrong, Walker finds himself with a number of factions on his tail; a vengeful crime syndicate, a crooked politician, as well as his fellow cops. When attempting to rescue the politician’s estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal starts to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy, he is forced to confront the demons of his past.

We’re hoping this release date sticks and we won’t have to bring you any more news on Havoc’s release date.
