Viral horror story Purgatory Games is being adapted for the big screen, and here are the first details.
Lyrical Media has snapped up the rights to horror short story Purgatory Games, which is described as “The Ring meets Squid Game”.
The plot follows “a mysterious narrator who receives a USB drive from an unknown source containing videos and transcripts of six strangers trapped in an underground bunker with unusual rules to gain their freedom. An investigation begins into this secret, disturbing experiment”.
Ash Vs. The Evil Dead screenwriter Bryan Edward Hill will write the script, adapted from the story by Sam Haysom, which originally went viral on Reddit.
