Home Alone in an old folks home? Joan Collins signs up for a new British film that’s set to attempt to be just that.

On the eve of the launch of her diaries, Dame Joan Collins has signed up for a new movie role. She’ll be taking a role in The Gentle Sex, a film that’s being brought to the screen by Red Bus Movies and Evolutionary Films.

Dougie Brimson, who penned Green Street, is writing (along with Gary Lawrence) and producing this one, described as ‘an old folks version of Home Alone’. A slapstick comedy, the film follows four retired secret agents defending their retirement home from a property developer.

Thus far, the involvement of Dame Joan is the only piece of casting that we know for definite. We’ll keep an eye on the project though, and let you know as we hear more.

In the meantime, her Unapologetic Diaries are out on October 14th. You can find them here.
