Ol Parker directs Julia Roberts and George Clooney in Ticket To Paradise – and the new romantic comedy will start shooting soon.
There aren’t too many stories of new romantic comedies with movie stars anymore, so this one feels like something rarer than perhaps it should be. Julia Roberts and George Clooney are reuniting for a brand new project called Ticket To Paradise, that’s set to shoot over the coming months.
Furthermore, the movie is the latest from Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again director Ol Parker (he’ll be chatting to us about it soon in a Film Stories podcast special). He’s penned the script with Daniel Pipski, and it tells the story of a divorced couple heading to Bali, to try and stop their daughter repeating their mistakes.
Working Title in the UK has been instrumental in getting this one off the ground, and hopefully the plan is that this one gets a cinema release as well.
