Good Luck To You, Leo Grande made quite an impression upon release last year, It received near universal critical acclaim for Sophie Hyde’s direction, Katy Brand’s screenplay and the performances of Emma Thompson and Darryl McCormack, all of which are currently up for BAFTA’s.

Brand has now confirmed that her next project will be a comedy road movie entitled Libby And Joan Hit The Road.

While there are no plot or casting details as of yet, it comes as the first project from the newly formed production company Genstone, a conflation of Genesius Pictures (which produced Leo Grande) and UK distribution company Cornerstone Films.

In a statement, they said that the aim of the new company is to “focus on the development and acquisition of intellectual property (IP); second stage support to fast track projects into finance and production”.
