Taron Egerton will be back to play Eggsy one last time, as Matthew Vaughn confirms Kingsman 3 is set to shoot in 2022.

We’re a week or two away from the release of The King’s Man, Matthew Vaughn’s prequel movie to his Kingsman series of films. It’s taken a while to find a release date, but given the number of press screenings that have been taking place – alas, we’re not in London so haven’t seen it – it’s definitely arriving this time on Boxing Day.

Furthermore, Vaughn hasn’t abandoned his plan either to complete his trilogy of Kingsman films with the story of Taron Egerton’s Eggsy. In a new interview, he’s confirmed that the plan is to press ahead with Kingsman 3, and that it’ll shoot in 2022. “We’re all set to go, we start filming in September”, he’s revealed.

Taron Egerton is already committed to the next film, and it’s likely that 20th Century Studios, under Disney ownership of course, will be the home of the movie. More on it as we hear it…
