Directed by Cameron and Colin Cairnes, the acclaimed horror Late Night With The Devil is arriving in UK cinemas next month. More here.

So far, 2024 has been a rotten year for horror films. Both Night Swim and Baghead left a lot to be desired in the scares department, but there is hope yet.

Late Night With The Devil, which had its world premiere South by Southwest Film Festival in 2023 and screened at the BFI London Film Festival last year too, has picked up UK distribution with Vertigo Releasing.

Vertigo are releasing the David Dastamalchian -starring horror into cinemas in March.

Take a look at the Late Night With The Devil trailer below.

Sold! The film looks thoroughly terrifying and we’re always fans of anything that adopts a groovy 70s aesthetic. The film also holds an impressive 100% Rotten Tomatoes critic score at the time of writing. The film was so popular at the London Film Festival that they had to turn people away from the press screenings after word of mouth spread that Late Night With The Devil was something very special indeed.

Dastmalchian has appeared in huge blockbusters such as Ant-Man, Dune and The Dark Knight, but it’s fun to see him dig into such a juicy, unnerving character and get the spotlight all to himself. Australian filmmakers and brothers Cameron and Colin Cairnes are behind the script and direction for the film.

The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal too much, but here’s an official synopsis: In 1977 a live television broadcast goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into living rooms across the United States.

The film stars David Dastmalchian (Dune, The Dark Knight) as Jack Delroy, host of a late-night talk show. On Halloween night 1977 havoc unfolds when Delroy interviews a parapsychologist and the subject of her recent book, a young teenager who is the sole survivor of a Satanic church’s mass suicide.

Late Night With The Devil is heading to UK cinemas 22nd March.
