Levon’s Trade is now A Working Man | Jason Statham thriller moves to March

Levon’s Trade is dead. A Working Man, with Jason Statham, has risen in its place. More on the incoming film here.


I’ve now written two news stories in 2025, and both of them have managed to mention The Beekeeper, the 2024 action delight starring Jason Statham. Directed by David Ayer, the pair clearly enjoyed each other’s company, as they soon knuckled down to making Levon’s Trade, based on the novel of the same name by Chuck Dixon. From a script by Sylvester Stallone and Ayer, the film was due out this January, and looked to be heading straight to streaming in the UK.

However, it looks as if things have been upgraded slightly.

Firstly, I should note that the name has changed. Levon’s Trade is dead, it’s now going by the name of fridge magnet action movie title generator product A Working Man. It’s fine, it’ll do.

Furthermore, the release date has changed too. It’s now out on 28th March 2025, a pushback of two months to a more peak time release slot.

The remaining part of the jigsaw is the release strategy for the film. It’s an Amazon MGM movie, so it’ll end up on Prime Video eventually. But don’t rule out Amazon – which has committed to some 15 theatrical releases a year – given it a brief cinema window before The Statham does his business in your living room.

I really should rewrite that last sentence, but a bit too late now.

A Working Man also features David Harbour, Michael Pena and Jason Flemyng, and given how many further novels Chuck Dixon wrote in this particular series, it’d be folly to bet against Another Working Man or Working Men at some point in the future.
