The Kill Room adds Maya Hawke to a cast that already includes Uma Thurman and Samuel L Jackson. Almost 30 years since appearing together in Quentin’s Tarantino’s trailblazing Pulp Fiction, Uma Thurman and Samuel L Jackson are to share the screen once more in Nicol Paone’s upcoming dark comedy thriller, The Kill Room. Magic Mike XXL’s Joe Manganiello will also join them, with the actor who briefly played super-assassin Deathstroke getting to play a contract killer once more. The casting for this film is more interesting with every announcement. Now it’s been revealed that Stranger Things’ Maya Hawke will be joining the cast in an unspecified role, meaning that this is the first time that we’ll get to see Hawke and her mother, Uma Thurman, share the screen. In The Kill Room, the story follows a triangle of characters: ‘a hitman played by Manganiello, his boss (Jackson), an art dealer (Thurman), and a money-laundering scheme that accidentally turns the assassin into an overnight avant-garde sensation, one that forces them to play the art world against the underworld.’ The film will be directed by Friendsgiving‘s Nicol Paone and could hit cinemas as soon as next year. Filming is set to begin this spring in New York and New Jersey with the aim being to sell the film at Cannes.
