Productions featuring Gillian Anderson, Tom Hiddleston and Fisayo Akinade are set to be made available by the National Theatre At Home for free. One of the upsides of the current lockdown that we’re all living through has been how lots of organisations have opened up their catalogue of material free of charge. One of the first to do so was the National Theatre. For much of the last decade, it’s been beaming its productions into cinemas around the UK, and since the end of March on a weekly basis it’s been making one of those available for free streaming. A new production goes live every Thursday night, and is available for seven days, before the next comes along. Now, the National Theatre At Home programme has announced an extension of its original schedule. Here’s what’s coming up: 14th May: Barber Shop Chronicles starring Fisayo Akinade, Hammed Animashaun, Cyril Nri and Sule Rimi 21st May: A Streetcar Named Desire starring Gillian Anderson and Ben Foster 28th May: This House starring Phil Daniels and Reece Dinsdale 4th June: Coriolanus starring Tom Hiddleston You’ll be able to find all of these at the National Theatre YouTube channel, here. We’ll keep you posted of any future announcements. — Thank you for visiting! If you’d like to support our attempts to make a non-clickbaity movie website: Become a Patron here.
