Prepare yourself for uncanny thrills as a new trailer for M3GAN arrives, the first spooky film of 2023.

Move over Chucky, M3GAN is inbound and she looks et to give the long-running killer doll series a run for its money. This is a Blumhouse and Universal co-production, with James Wan onboard as producer, whilst Wan also was involved with the story that was scripted by Malignant’s Akela Cooper.

The film is directed by Gerard Johnstone and boasts the following synopsis:

M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a lifelike doll that’s programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by Gemma, a brilliant roboticist, M3GAN can listen, watch and learn as it plays the role of friend and teacher, playmate and protector. When Gemma becomes the unexpected caretaker of her 8-year-old niece, she decides to give the girl an M3GAN prototype, a decision that leads to unimaginable consequences.

Wan and Blum’s production companies are set to merge and presumably create plenty more things to give us nightmares, so we might as well get used to them scaring us silly with the new trailer for M3GAN, which you can find below. The doll itself is creepily uncanny and we’re looking forward to being scared out of wits when M3GAN arrives in UK cinemas on 13 January 2023.
