New trailer for The Suicide Squad lands

Hold on tight for some anarchic action as the full trailer for James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad has launched: see it right here. Yes, we’ve been before, but this time, maybe this time, things will be different. When the trailers for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad released in 2016, it all looked so promising. Ultimately, those sneak peeks would prove to be both a false dawn and a cautionary tale against trusting a film’s marketing materials. Suicide Squad was critically mauled, although how much of Ayer’s fault that was is debatable after he lost final cut of the film. The full trailer for the similarly-titled The Suicide Squad has now landed and looks equally promising. The quasi-sequel, semi-reimagining of the property is now in the hands of James Gunn however, so anticipation is running high. We won’t have to wait too long to find out either, with the film set to hit these shores on August 6th. In the meantime, check out the trailer below… And here’s that synopsis… Colonel Rick Flag, Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and Harley Quinn armed and dropped into the enemy-infused jungle island of Corto Maltese.
