Director Noah Baumbach has signed a deal to publish his memoir, it’s been revealed: more here.

Noah Baumbach is one of those filmmakers who carved out a career exactly on their own terms, making a series of indie features before winning the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for The Squid And The Whale. Since then, he has become known for his collaborations with Greta Gerwig, to whom he is now married, and for co-writing both The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou and Fantastic Mr Fox with Wes Anderson.

And he’s inked a deal to write his autobiography, it’s been revealed.

Specific details about the memoir, which will be published by John Murray in the UK, are being kept under wraps, but it is said to chronicle his “life and career through key experiences and his relationship with cinema”.

Baumbach co-wrote Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which is released on the 21st July. When we get a release date for his book, we’ll pass the information on.
