Peter Farrelly is teaming up with Deadpool’s writers for action comedy Balls Up, and here are the first details.
We reported last week that Peter Farrelly is working on his next film at Prime Video, a screwball comedy called Ricky Stanicky, which is set to star John Cena and Zac Efron.
It seems he’s sticking with what he knows, because he’s also working on another comedy called Balls Up, which he intends to start shooting immediately after production on the former film has wrapped.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it is said that the film will fit right in next to the likes of Dumb & Dumber and Kingpin, which he directed with his brother Bobby.
Farrelly will direct from a screenplay by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, whose irreverent comedy styling have propelled Ryan Reynolds’ wisecracking superhero to conquer the box office twice thus far. Deadpool 3 is currently in the works, and that partcular feature will bring back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
We’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
