We might be misreading things, but doesn’t sound like Pierce Brosnan was No Time To Die’s biggest fan.

As James Bond 007 fans are very aware, Pierce Brosnan’s time as the secret agent came to an abrupt end, with Eon Productions decided to make a change after the film Die Another Day. Brosnan was keen to continue, but Eon wanted to go in another direction, and thus recast the role with Daniel Craig becoming 007.

Five films later, Craig has hung up his tuxedo more on his own terms, walking away from Bond after last year’s No Time To Die. Brosnan is currently on the promotional trail for the film Black Adam, and he’s been chatting to GQ, where the topic of 007 arose. Brosnan admits he doesn’t really care who gets the role next, and that he wishes them well.

As for Craig’s films?

“I saw the last one, and I saw Skyfall. I love Skyfall. I’m not too sure about the last one. Daniel always gives of his heart. Very courageous, very strong. But…”

Brosnan left the thought there, but the suggestion is he might not be quite as sold on No Time To Die. That, or he’s being coy about his love for it.
