Emma Stone will reunite with Yorgos Lanthimos alongside a fun ensemble cast for the upcoming And.

Yorgos Lanthimos has set up his next film at 20th Century Studios, the same place that he collaborated with on 2018’s The Favourite. That film performed well both critically and commercially and as such, it’s no surprise that Lanthimos has been able to bring together a very talented ensemble cast for what looks like a very promising film.

The plot for And is being kept firmly under wraps for the moment, but we do know that Emma Stone will be involved, with the actor reuniting with Lanthimos following her Oscar-winning work in his last filmHong Chau, so unnerving as a key character in Damon Lindelof’s brilliant Watchmen series is also part of the ensemble. Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley round out the main players and anticipation will surely be high to see what Lanthimos is cooking up this time.

The director has returned to work with writer Efthimis Filippou for this project. The two last collaborated on The Lobster, a more offbeat tale that characterised Lanthimos’ stranger work up until The Favourite. What this means for the story, who knows, but filming is set to get underway in New Orleans later this month. We’ll let you know more as we hear it.
