As well as the upcoming Poor Things and anthology picture And, it seems like Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone may have partnered again.

Well here’s some interesting news. A new Yorgos Lanthimos film is always a treat, not least one in which he colloborates with Emma Stone. We’ve only had one of those thus far, that being 2019’s The Favourite which released early in 2019 here in the UK and got that year’s movie calendar off to a rip-roaring start.

We know that there are two more Lanthimos/Stone collaborations on the way, one being the recently-delayed Poor Things, which Disney’s Searchlight Pictures has pushed back until the end of the year. Also, Lanthimos has completed production on an anthology film titled And, in which Stone will feature.

If two movies featuring the duo still doesn’t satisfy you however, then you’re potentially in for some good news as Cineuropa is reporting that Lanthimos has shot another film with Stone in Greece. According to the outlet, which revealed the news as part of a profile piece, this is a different film to the ones mentioned above.

The piece states: ‘Lanthimos has also shot a new movie in Greece, he shared, countering the rumours that he might not be returning to work in his home country any time soon. For this untitled project, which is also lensed by Robbie Ryan and stars Emma Stone, he says that it is “much simpler and very different in comparison to Poor Things because that story needed that particular style.”’

So there you go. Should this prove to be accurate, we could be in for a fourth collaboration between the pair, which sounds like a fine idea to us. Now we just need the films to actually start coming out! You can see the trailer for Poor Things below which has recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival ahead of its wider release later this year.
