It’s a clash of the titans, as Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror sign up for fight flick Diablo, and here are the first details.
Scott Adkins has been synonymous with slick, well shot action films almost two decades. His collaborations with director Isaac Florentine have produced some of the best straight to DVD action films money can buy, and he has recently made his way into the mainstream with roles in the likes of Doctor Strange and John Wick 4. Marko Zaror, meanwhile, has an equally impressive filmography, doubling for Dwayne Johnson in the terrific Welcome To The Jungle and also appearing in John Wick 4.
The two are joining forces for Diablo, an action thriller that will see Adkins play “Kris Chaney who, after being released from prison, embarks on a perilous mission to fulfill an old promise but finds himself in danger when he kidnaps Elisa, the daughter of a powerful gangster. Her father, Vincent, puts out a call to the entire criminal underworld to bring her back alive. El Corvo (Zaror), a psychopathic killer, joins the hunt not for the money but for his own vendetta against Vincent’s family. Kris must evade both Elisa’s powerful father and a ruthless killer bent on revenge to live long enough to tell Elisa the full story that has been hidden from her”.
Having recently worked with Zaror on Fist Of The Condor, director Ernesto Díaz Espinoza will helm the film from a script by Mat Sansom, with Adkins and Zaror also co-producing.
