Following their distribution partnership on Napoleon, Apple Studios and Sony Pictures will be teaming up once again to theatrically release Wolfs and Project Artemis, two more huge Apple Originals.

As we head into 2024, the slate of Apple Originals headed for theatrical releases continues to expand and boy are we thankful for it.

Whilst there will be plenty of people happy to watch Napoleon and Killers of the Flower Moon at home (with self-decided intermissions) there are lots of movie lovers who want to enjoy these films in a cinema. Thankfully, Apple Studios seems to have made a firm commitment to pleasing this sizeable contingent: we know that the Brad Pitt Formula 1 film will be the jewel in Apple’s 2024 crown (if it does release next year) and that is definitely coming to cinemas.

There’s more though: thanks to The Hollywood Reporter, we know now that another two major Apple productions will also be headed to cinemas next year. Huzzah! Apple will once again team with Sony as a distribution partner for the projects.

First up is Wolfs, From writer-director Jon Watts, the mind behind the beloved Spider-Man films.

Wolfs stars George Clooney and Brad Pitt as ‘two lone wolf fixers assigned to the same job.’ Amy Ryan co-stars and given the talent in front and behind the camera, we’re all in on this one.

Then there’s Project Artemis, which will be ‘directed by Greg Berlanti from a screenplay by Rose Gilroy, features an ensemble cast led by Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum. Jim Rash, newcomer Anna Garcia, Donald Elise Watkins, Noah Robbins, Colin Woodell, Nick Dillenburg and Christian Zuber and Woody Harrelson also star.’

Plot details for this one are being kept under wraps but again, there’s a stack of talent lined up so we’re excited to see what direction it all takes.

Mostly though, we’re happy that these films will be giving cinemas a boost in 2024, a year when they are likely to need it given that delays from a year of strikes are going to make things tricky once again. Rest assured, we’ll bring you more on these projects as we hear them.
