Meryl Streep headlines the cast of Let Them All Talk.
The ever-industrious filmmaker Steven Soderbergh is hard at work on his next movie, one that’s going by the working title Let Them All Talk.
The film stars Meryl Streep, Candice Bergen, Gemma Chan, Lucas Hedges and Dianne Wiest. What’s more, the movie is being shot on the Queen Mary 2 ocean liner as it travels from New York to Southampton. The seven day voyage thus includes the film crew as part of its passenger roster, and those aboard the ship may also appear as extras in the movie.
The film itself had begun production in New York at the start of the month, and it’s based on a script by Deborah Eisenberg. It follows a renowned author who takes some old chums on a trip across the ocean on the luxury ship.
Cunard, the company that runs the Queen Mary 2, is clearly very pleased about this. It’s sent out a very chipper press release, that throws in the fact that Ed Sheeran wrote part of his last album on the boat too.
No word yet on when Let Them All Talk will be released, but HBO Max has the distribution rights to the movie. That suggests a TV premiere in the US, and we wait to see what the UK plans are.
