If you liked Netflix’s The Gentlemen, you’re in luck. Netflix has just renewed Guy Ritchie’s TV show for season 2.

Gy Ritchie partnered with Netflix to make his film The Gentlemen into a TV show or at least creating a show that was set in the same universe since it’s all the rage these days. The show was warmly received by critics and audiences alike and there’s now more criminal shenanigans in our future.

Netflix has today announced that The Gentlemen will return for season 2, which will consist of eight episodes, as did season 1.

Here’s a funky video of the announcement:

Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Daniel Ings are all reprising their roles from season 1, with Netflix promising more casting news soon. Ritchie will also be back to direct and will also write the season with Matthew Beard.

In case you forgot or simply don’t know what The Gentlemen is about, here’s a reminder: The Gentlemen sees Eddie Horniman (Theo James) unexpectedly inherit his father’s sizeable country estate ā€“ only to discover it’s part of a cannabis empire. Moreover, a host of unsavoury characters from Britain’s criminal underworld want a piece of the operation. Determined to extricate his family from their clutches, Eddie tries to play the gangsters at their own game. However, as he gets sucked into the world of criminality, he begins to find a taste for it, with an unexpected ally found in the sophisticated yet ruthless Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario.)

Netflix didn’t share a release date for the new season yet, but filming will commence next year. We’ll keep you posted on more The Gentlemen news.
