HBO released a trailer for their upcoming shows and it gives us a look at The Last Of Us season two. More on that below.

2025 is shaping up to be a great year for TV. We’ve got a new Daredevil series, IT prequel series Welcome To Derry, Stranger Things, The White Lotus and The Last Of Us to look forward to, just to name a few.

Now, HBO has released a teaser trailer for all their upcoming shows for the rest of 2024 as well as 2025. The trailer gives us our first look at White Lotus season three, the third seasons of Sex And The City sequel series And Just Like That, Welcome to Derry, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and The Last of Us.

Here’s the trailer.

The trailer gives us our first proper look at the highly-anticipated second season of The Last Of Us. In the brief look, Catherine O’Hara’s mystery character asks Pedro Pascal’s Joel what he did, talking about the events of the season one finale.

“I saved her,” Joel responds. Gamers will know that this encapsulates a lot of what’s going on in the second game thematically, at least in the first third of the game. We don’t actually know who O’Hara is playing in the new season. Her character might be a completely new, original one ā€“ perhaps a therapist of some sort ā€“ or Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann might be taking a smaller side character and expanding their role, similar to what they did with Bill and Frank in season one.

We also get our first look at Isabela Merced’s Dina, a love interest for Bella Ramsey’s Ellie and Jeffrey Wright’s Isaac, the ruthless leader of a militia group in Seattle. Wright played the character in the original game, so it’ll be fun to see what the Oscar-nominated actor does with the part in live-action.

You can also spy the briefest glimpse of Kaitlyn Dever’s Abby Anderson in the teaser as she’s crawling away from a horde of the infected. Granted, it’s not much of a look and HBO will likely want to keep the character mostly hidden for a bit longer, considering the amount of hate Laura Bailey, the original actor to portray Abby, got when The Last Of Us Part II was released.

The Last Of Us season two doesn’t have a solid release date yet, but we can expect it in 2025. More on the show as we hear it.
