Charlize Theron headlines the big budget Netflix movie The Old Guard – and here’s the latest trailer for the upcoming film.

Comfortably one of the most anticipated movies currently on the Netflix slate is this one, The Old Guard.

It’s from director Gina Prince-Bythewood, screenwriter Greg Rucka and star Charlize Theron. Taking the graphic novel series from Rucka and Leandro Fernandez as its basis, the film follows a bunch of mercenaries who, bluntly, are unable to die.

What ensues is an action-packed story, with a supporting cast that features  Kiki Layne, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Harry Melling, Van Veronica Ngo, with Matthias Schoenaerts and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

What’s more, we’ve got the latest trailer for the film here, and the official synopsis. Trailer first…

And then the trailer that landed in May…

Here’s that synopsis…

Led by a warrior named Andy (Charlize Theron), a covert group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die have fought to protect the mortal world for centuries. But when the team is recruited to take on an emergency mission and their extraordinary abilities are suddenly exposed, it’s up to Andy and Nile (Kiki Layne), the newest soldier to join their ranks, to help the group eliminate the threat of those who seek to replicate and monetize their power by any means necessary. Based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Greg Rucka and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood (LOVE & BASKETBALL, BEYOND THE LIGHTS), THE OLD GUARD is a gritty, grounded, action-packed story that shows living forever is harder than it looks.

And the film will be on the Netflix service from 10th July 2020. More as we get it.
