The classic horror franchise The Omen is getting a prequel, and here are the first details.
The original The Omen is, of course, an iconic slice of horror cinema. Pre-Superman Richard Donner directs David Seltzer’s screenplay about a child that we eventually discover is the Antichrist.
Three sequels followed, with a remake appearing in 2006. And now we’re getting a brand new prequel movie.
Plot details of the prequel are being kept under wraps, and it is unclear where the story might pick up from.
Following her breakout role on Apple TV+’s Servant, Nell Tiger Free will star in the leading role, her first in a major studio film.
Arkasha Stevenson will direct from a screenplay she co-wrote with her writing partner Tim Smith.
Production is set to begin soon, and we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
