Adam Deacon’s new movie, Sumotherhood, will now be released in October. Paramount Pictures is distributing.

Adam Deacon made his directorial debut with the terrific Anuvahood back in 2011 (pictured).

A spoof of the British urban genre, the film quickly found an audience, which has steadily built over the years.

After a long spell away from the industry, for reasons that have been well reported, Deacon is now back with the follow up, Sumotherhood.

Deacon directs, stars and has co-written the script with Michael Vu and actor Jazzie Zonzolo

Other cast members include returning stars Zonzolo and Richie Campbell, alongside Jennifer Saunders, Danny Sapani, Ed Sheeran, Leomie Anderson, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, London Hughes, Peter Serafinowicz, Ella VaDay and Jaime Winstone.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Deacon revealed in a recent tweet that Paramount Pictures has brought the release date forward, and the film will now be in UK cinemas from the 13th October.
