Sylvester Stallone confirms that the brand new director’s cut of Rocky IV is getting a cinema release in November – in 4K. Well, crikey. For the 35th anniversary of the most 1980s film of all of the 1980s, Sylvester Stallone is keeping his promise and bringing a director’s cut of Rocky IV to the screen. He teased this a while back, but now he’s revealed that the new cut of the film will be released in 4K this coming November, on the 11th to be exact. That’s the US release of the film, and we hope that a UK cinema outing will follow. Stallone has suggested previously, scandalously, that he’ll be erasing 80s robot from the movie, but there’s also going to be lots of footage put back in it seems. More news on Rocky IV Director’s Cut: Rocky Vs Drago as we get it. Forget Zack Snyder and his Justice League cut though: this is now surely the cinema event of the year…
