With The Grey Man, starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, landing on Netflix on 22nd July with a price tag of $200 million, currently the most expensive film ever made by the service, they clearly want to get their money’s worth as the news comes that they have snagged the Russo Brothers’ next film. The Electric State, based on the illustrated novel by Simon Stålenhag, is set in what is described as a retro-futuristic past, in which a young woman traverses the American West with a sweet robot and and an eccentric drifter, in the hopes of finding her younger brother. Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown will  headline the film, with rumours that Chris Pratt is in talks to co-star, although that has not yet been confirmed. Long time Marvel scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have penned the screenplay, and are also executive producing alongside the Russo Brothers for their production company AGBO.
