Catherine Hardwicke, perhaps best known for helming the first Twilight film, is reuniting with Miss You Already star Toni Collette for Mafia Mamma. It’s a brand new comedy that’s a matter of weeks away.
The official synopsis reads as follows:
Mafia Mamma is a hilarious, action-packed comedy about a suburban American woman who inherits her grandfather’s Mafia empire, and guided by the Firm’s trusted consigliere, defies everyone’s expectations, including her own, as the new head of the family crime business.
Collette stars alongside Monica Bellucci, Alfonso Perugini, Giulio Corso, and Alessandro Bressanello.
Hardwicke directs from a screenplay by J. Michael Feldman and Debbie Jhoon, from an idea by Amanda Sthers.
Mafia Mamma is due to be released 9n the 14th April.
