Eli Roth has made a feature length version of his Grindhouse trailer Thanksgiving, and here’s the trailer.

Grindhouse, the B-Movie double feature of Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror and Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof, was released 16 years ago, and it has proved profitable, not only in terms of financial return, but in the number of projects that came out of the fake trailers attached to the film.

Robert Rodriguez turned Danny Trejo into the action superstar he deserved to be in 2010’s Machete, itself followed in 2013 by Machete Kills. We’re still waiting for the teased third film in the franchise Machete Kills Again…In Space! Jason Eisner made a full length version of his trailer Hobo With A Shotgun in 2011.

Now, Eli Roth has turned his trailer for Thanksgiving into a full length feature. The synopsis reads as follows:

Based on the original trailer created for Quentin Tarantino & Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse (2007). A serial killer comes to a small town in Massachusetts with the intention of creating a Thanksgiving carving board out of the town’s inhabitants.

Patrick Dempsey leads the cast, which also includes Addison Rae, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Milo Manheim, Nell Verlaque, Gina Gershon, Tim Dillon, and Rick Hoffman

Roth directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jeff Rendell.

Thanksgiving will be released in UK cinemas on the 17th November.
