Hot on the heels of John Boyega offering an update on the sequel to Attack The Block, we now have a trailer for his next film
Breaking tells the true story of former Marine Brian Brown-Easley. Desperate and denied help from Veterans Affairs, he takes a bank and it’s employees and customers hostage. A tense standoff ensues.
Boyega headlines the film as Brown-Easley. Also in the cast are Nicole Beharie, Connie Britton, Olivia Washington and Selenis Leyva.
Abi Damaris Corbin directs, from a screenplay she co-wrote with Kwame Kwei-Armah – as an aside, Kwei-Armah’s adaptation of his own hit play Elmina’s Kitchen from 2003 for the BBC is well worth tracking down.
The film is set to be released in the US on the 26th August A UK release date has yet to be announced, but we’ll keep you updated as we hear more. Watch the trailer below…
