Award winning horror Nanny will land on Amazon Prime later this year, and here’s the first trailer for the acclaimed movie.

Nanny won the prestigious Grand Jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival this year. A s a consequence, it secured worldwide distribution and now we have the first trailer for the film on the eve of its UK release.

The plot centers on Aisha, the titular nanny, who is an undocumented woman living in the United States. Scraping by on a meagre salary, her hope is to save enough to be able to bring her child over to live with her. But, as time goes on, she starts to see a violent presence in her dreams and in the mirrors. Is there something actually haunting her, or is the paranoia and stress of her situation taking its toll?

Titans’ Anna Diop stars an Aisha, alongside Michelle Monaghan, Morgan Spector, Rose Decker and Sinqua Walls.

It marks the directorial debut of Nikyatu Jusu, who also wrote the screenplay.

Nanny will have a limited cinema release from the 23rd November before landing on Amazon Prime Video on the 16th December. Watch the trailer below…
