Cult favourite Tommy Wiseau is back with Big Shark, and here’s the trailer for his next film right here.
The Room is arguably one of the biggest cult film of the century so far, featuring bizarre dialogue with even weirder acting choices, and at the centre of it all is Tommy Wiseau, who was played by James Franco in the making of biopic The Disaster Artist. And now Wiseau has made another movie.
Big Shark is Wiseau’s first narrative feature since the release of The Room back in 2003.
The film “takes place in Louisiana and follows three firefighters who must save New Orleans from a shark attack”.
Wiseau wrote, produced and directed Big Shark, as well as starring alongside regular collaborator Greg Sestero and Isaiah LaBorde.
Wiseau is taking Big Shark on a tour of the US, a UK release date has yet to be confirmed, though given the enduring popularity of screenings of The Room at venues like The Prince Charles Cinema (in which people often come dressed up and quote the film), we’d imagine a UK release can’t be far away.
Watch the trailer for Big Shark below, although fair warning – the trailer actually ends around the one minute mark, after which it turns into an advert for Wiseau’s underwear brand. Don’t say you weren’t given advance notice…
