The trailer for the film Problemista has landed, with Tilda Swinton headlining the new indie comedy.
You can always count on Tilda Swinton to pick an interesting script, whether it’s her work with Derek Jarman, Sally Potter’s Orlando or her move into bigger budget films like Constantine and playing The Ancient One in the Marvel world..
She now stars in indie comedy Problemista. The official synopsis reads as follows:
Alejandro is an aspiring toy designer from El Salvador, struggling to bring his unusual ideas to life in New York City. As time on his work visa runs out, a job assisting an erratic art-world outcast becomes his only hope to stay in the country and realize his dream. From writer/director Julio Torres comes a surreal adventure through the equally treacherous worlds of New York City and the U.S. Immigration system.
Swinton stars alongside RZA, Greta Lee, Catalina Saaverdra and James Scully, with narration by Isabella Rosselini.
Saturday Night Live writer Julio Torries makes his directorial debut from his own script.
Problemista is due to be released in the US on 4th August, there is currently no UK release date, we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
