TRON: Ares arrives on digital services in early December, with a disc release planned for January. More on the story right here.
As much as TRON: Ares didn’t earn the kind of bucks that Disney needed or wanted it too, I’m very aware that there’s a nucleus of people who warmed to the picture. There’s already conversations on this site elsewhere about its critical and commercial response, so this post instead is for those who fancy catching up with the film, either again or for the first time.
Disney has confirmed its home release plans for the movie, with the digital release of the film coming next week. 2nd December is the date to circle in your diary with a suitably futuristic pen, and the digital release is also coming laden with a bunch of extra features too. This is to be encouraged.
In terms of the disc release, that hasn’t been formally announced in the UK yet, but the cat is out of the metaphorical bag over in the US. There, Disney is planning to release the film on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray from 6th January 2026, and the UK release will be there or thereabouts too.

Unsurprisingly, Disney is planning to go down the collector’s route here too, with a Steelbook edition planned, as well as a triple pack of the TRON movie franchise as well.
The Digital Bits is reporting that the disc extra features will include a trio of deleted scenes from the movie. That, and you’re getting five different featurettes in there as well, although it’s unclear at the moment just how long they run for.
Whether you like the film or not, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be a hell of a home cinema workout. Once we’ve got full confirmation of the UK disc release, we’ll update this post. For now, you can order yourself the digital edition of the film right here.
